Medical Pedicures

Standard cosmetic pedicures can make your toenails look good on the surface and get rid of some dead skin, however, they ignore or hide real problems (and sometimes create them!). Our Certified Master Pedicurist is specially trained to treat ailments such as athlete’s foot, nail fungus, dry, cracked heels, nail discoloration, ingrown toenails, corns, and calluses – all while making your feet look great in a private, comfortable environment.

Medical Pedicures

What is a Medical Pedicure or Medicure?

A Medical Pedicure is designed to treat unwanted conditions of the skin and nails such as toenail fungus, corns, calluses, and more. It's a non-invasive, dry pedicure performed by our Certified Master Pedicurist who is specially trained to employ the latest techniques used by foot and healthcare experts; offering advanced specialty treatments and techniques not available at standard nail salons.

These procedures are performed in a private, comfortable environment with special instruments that are sterilized after each use, unlike the shared equipment and space during a typical pedicure.

Who Is It For?

  • Anyone who has gotten an infection or had issues arise from a normal pedicure
  • Diabetic or arthritic patients who cannot receive a normal pedicure
  • Athletes who constantly are sweating in the South Florida heat and are susceptible to nail fungus – tennis, equestrian, basketball, football, soccer, and more
  • Anyone who is on their feet for extended hours at work
  • Anyone who prefers a private environment with 1:1 attention

What Can I Expect?

A typical treatment lasts 45-60 minutes and is done in the privacy of our welcoming and comfortable patient rooms. This includes:

  • A full assessment and consultation on the condition of feet, skin, and toenails
  • Extensive cleaning and cleansing, sanding, buffing, and shaping of the nails to remove dead cells and achieve maximum comfort
  • Removal of dead skin and buffing of the feet
  • Removal of blisters, corns, and ingrown toenails
  • Smoothing out of calluses and dry, cracked heels
  • Hydrating the feet to prevent your feet from becoming dried out and cracked
  • Restoration of natural toenail color, application of base, and topcoat

For best results, we typically recommend receiving Medical Pedicures every 4-6 weeks.

Note that certain conditions will require seeing the doctor before receiving a Medical Pedicure, and Medical Pedicures are not covered by insurance.
